CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) – “Letters Home” is scheduled at the Heyde Center for the Arts on Nov. 11 and 12. 2022 has been cancelled.

According to a press release from the Heyde Center for the Arts.

“I have bad news for you and I have been trying to find a way to explain our situation to you. I wanted to let you know as soon as possible that we will have to cancel our LETTERS HOME engagement at the end of the month. -Veterans Day week. I’m just sick of it and I’ve been stressed about it all weekend,” said William Massolia, Executive Director of the Griffin Theatre.

According to Massolia, the theater company cannot make the event at the Heyde Center for the Arts financially viable.

“We have been fortunate that our ticket sales at the Heyde Center have been strong; but the most worrying thing is how these tour groups are suffering, “Deb Johnson, Executive Director of the Heyde Center, said. “Cancellation hurts everyone – but it really affect the livelihoods of actors whose source of income comes from their ability to watch.”
