New Delhi: PAN or Permanent Account Number, which is a unique ten-digit alphabetic number issued by the Income Tax Department of India, is basically a personal identification card issued to taxpayers. There are two types of PAN card applications: one for Indians and the other for foreign nationals who are taxed by Indian government agencies. If there is any damage to your PAN card, you can renew it. But what if you lose it somewhere? You just need to file an FIR; then you can proceed with online application for duplicate PAN card. Also, PAN card does not come with an expiry date.
Simple and easy steps to download your PAN card
First step: Visit the following site https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/requestAndDownloadEPAN.html (Also Read: PAN Card Update: Here’s How To Change PAN Photo Online)
Second step: You would get an Acknowledgment Number or PAN, select it
Third step: Enter your alphanumeric PAN number
Step Four: Enter your Aadhaar number
Step Five: Enter your DOB and GSTN number (optional)
Step Six: Check the box to accept Aadhaar
Seventh step: Fill in the captcha to submit the form
After submitting the form, an OTP will be generated if done through the confirmation number. After that, you can easily download the e-PAN by simply clicking the “Download Pdf” button. After paying the processing fee, the PAN will be delivered to you within 15 days. You can download it three times without any payment and after that you will be charged Rs.8.2. When your PAN application is submitted through NSDL e-Gov, your PAN will be distributed or changes will be confirmed by ITD within the last 30 days.
